His last day at the News & Observer is Wednesday.
Before covering tech and innovation, Eanes was a real estate and business reporter at The News & Observer and The Herald-Sun. He holds a B.A. in business journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill, and interned at the Washington (D.C.) Business Journal and the Greater Wilmington (N.C.) Business Journal.
Eacnes was part of a team that won a McClatchy President’s Award for Journalism Excellence for work on a yearlong project on gentrification and neighborhood change in Durham.
