Axios gaming reporter Farokhmanesh is departing

Megan Farokhmanesh

Megan Farokhmanesh, a gaming reporter at Axios who co-writes its gaming newsletter, Axios Gaming, is leaving for a new opportunity.

Her last day is May 6. She has been at Axios for a year.

Farokhmanesh was previously at The Verge where she was a reporter covering internet culture and the video game industry. She was also a reporter, senior reporter and deputy managing editor at Polygon.

She has also freelanced for Paste Magazine and was a web editor at Vox magazine. She was also a tech writer at Newsy.com.

Farokhmanesh holds a bachelor’s degree in magazine journalism and classics from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
