Axios crypto reporter Brady Dale is leaving the news organization and starting his own newsletter on Substack, starting in December.
“It’s still going to be 85% crypto focused, but very different in every way from anything I’ve done before,” he said in an email. “More big picture. Less regulatory. More humor. Deeper dives. Opinion-forward. I’ll leave the breaking news to others.”
Dale had led crypto coverage for Axios and co-authored the Axios Crypto newsletter, which launched in Spring 2022.
Dale joined Axios from The Defiant, where he was a senior reporter, covering crypto and the reinvention of finance. Prior to this, Dale was a senior reporter for CoinDesk, where he covered the era of initial coin offerings and crypto startups.
Dale has also written for the Observer, Fortune magazine and others.
