Agence France-Presse has hired Daniel Avis to be its U.S. economics correspondent.
He is based in Washington.
He has been with Bloomberg News in Israel covering the Israel economy and government.
Avis previously spent five years with the BBC, working as a broadcast journalist for “Newshour,” the BBC’s flagship international news program.
He interned on the financial regulation team at Bloomberg in New York and holds a master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
