Leslie J. Allen, editor of Automotive News’ Shift magazine and a news editor at Automotive News, has left after 16 years.
She joined in 2006, covering special projects and technology.
She was also part of the team that launched Automotive News TV in 2008, later on becoming its managing editor and executive producer. She was also auto editor at The Detroit Free Press.
She has also edited the automotive and Monday business sections of the Philadelphia Inquirer as associate business editor. She has also reported on the car industry as a business reporter for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Additionally, Allen has covered IT, emerging technologies, telematics, municipal government and education.
Allen graduated from Northwestern University.
