Entertainment industry news site The Ankler has hired Chris Rosen as deputy editor.

Rosen joins from Gold Derby, where he served as news director, and he previously was an executive editor at Entertainment Weekly, managing editor at Huffington Post, contributing editor at Vanity Fair and editor-in-chief of TV Guide.

Rosen will report to CEO and Editor-in-Chief Janice Min and will work closely with her and co-founder Richard Rushfield. He will collaborate with Ankler awards editor Katey Rich on broadening and expanding awards and festival coverage in film and TV.

Rosen will also be joining Rich as a regular co-host of her “Prestige Junkie” podcast.

“Chris is someone who brings not just a keen news sense but also a depth of knowledge and respect for the talent in the entertainment industry, two qualities that are a hallmark of The Ankler,” said Min in a statement. “We are thrilled to have Chris help lead our further expansion into high-quality storytelling for both the industry and the audience who absolutely love it.”
