Allocca joins The Daily Upside as senior editor

Sean Allocca

Sean Allocca has been hired as senior editor at The Daily Upside, which covers business, finance and economics.

He was the editor-in-chief of ETF.com where he was responsible for development and execution of the editorial and commercial strategy. He also served as deputy managing editor at InvestmentNews, editor of Financial Planning, and as digital editor for CFO Magazine.

Allocca has also won numerous awards including a Jesse H. Neal award and Folio award for best single issue.

He holds a M.A. in public communication from Fordham University and a B.A. in business writing from Loyola University, Maryland.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
