Sharon Brooks has been named editor in chief of Albuquerque Business First. She will start Dec. 2.
She replaces Meagan Nichols, who has been named director of editorial training for the paper’s parent company, American City Business Journals,
Brooks has been managing editor of the San Antonio Business Journal, a sister publication.
Before joining the Business Journal in February 2023, Brooks was the business editor of the Examiner in Beaumont, Texas. She also spent time as its city editor.
Brooks is a graduate of Lamar University. Before entering journalism, she worked as a paralegal.
