Adweek hires Barnett as senior tech reporter

Kendra Barnett

Adweek has hired Kendra Barnett as its senior technology reporter.

She previously was The Drum’s U.S. associate editor.

While there, she ran day-to-day coverage of the U.S. market and works alongside global editors to shape editorial strategy across the publication. She also spearheads The Drum’s coverage on big tech, media and data, and has a special interest in tech ethics and regulation.

Prior to joining The Drum, she spent a number of years working in the digital marketing space as an editorial lead and copywriter — and enjoyed a brief stint as an English teacher in Japan. Outside of her work as a journalist, she is a poet and Pushcart Prize-nominated essayist with work appearing in the American Literary Review, Into the Void Magazine, Emrys Journal, The Evansville Review and more.

She holds a master’s degree in creative writing from the University of Cambridge.
