Ad Age hires Nudd as creativity editor

Ad Age has hired Tim Nudd to be its creativity editor.

Ethan Jakob Craft of Ad Age writes, “A long-time writer and editor who has held roles at publications including Adweek and People Magazine, Nudd most recently served as the editor-in-chief of the Clio Awards, overseeing its Muse by Clio website and newsletter as founding editor. He also hosted its Tagline podcast, which launched in 2021.

“‘I’m thrilled to be joining Ad Age, a brand with such a strong legacy and voice in the industry,’ Nudd said. ‘Creativity continues to evolve at lightning speed, and I’m excited to join the Ad Age team in exploring how all the new tools, platforms and strategies are modernizing the age-old art of persuasion.’

“Formerly a resident of New York and now based just outside Portland, Maine,  Nudd has more than two decades of experience covering the advertising industry in various positions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Washington University in St. Louis.”

He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
