ACBJ promotes Ellingson to ME for its digital cities

Annlee Ellingson

American City Business Journals has promoted Annlee Ellingson to be managing editor of its online-only business publications.

She will direct content for readers in four markets  — L.A. Business First and L.A. Inno; the Chicago Business Journal and Chicago Inno; the Cleveland Business Journal and Cleveland Inno; and the New York Business Journal.

Ellingson has been covering Los Angeles business news with a focus on commercial real estate and economic development for L.A. Business First since Sept. 2012.

She has also been co-editor in chief of Exposition Review and a staff writer for Boxoffice Magazine.

Ellingson holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree from the University of Southern California.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
