Teri Buhl

9fin senior reporter Teri Buhl has returned to freelancing.

She has been covering distressed debt.

Buhl has been a journalist reporting on distressed credit deals in the cannabis space and Euro/London issued distressed loans and bonds for large corporations. Additionally, she has reported on accounting misconduct and executive board issue that lead to fraud in private and public companies.

She previously was a senior reporter for Fitch and a senior reporter for the Cannabis Law Report. And she was a contributing editor to MarketNexus Media.

Buhl holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern California.

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
