9fin hires Mehboob as distressed debt reporter

Danish Mehboob

Danish Mehboob has been hired as a senior distressed debt reporter at 9fin, where he covers in-court and out-of-court corporate restructurings and bankruptcies.

He is based in London.

Before joining 9fin, Mehboob covered international tax policy and regulation at Bloomberg Industry Group and Euromoney. His work has also been featured in CNN Business, UPI, Khaleej Times, and many other publications.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and a master’s degree from Columbia University.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
