We’re delighted to announce that Laura Osman is joining Bloomberg News as an editor in our Ottawa bureau.
Laura comes to us from The Logic, where she broke stories about the forces shaping Canada’s economy, including big changes in federal technology and innovation policy. She previously covered Parliament Hill for The Canadian Press, reporting on federal politics, health, immigration and breaking news.
Her work has taken her from the halls of Parliament to some of the most remote regions of Canada. She has reported abroad on international trips with Canadian leaders and from Ukraine on the first anniversary of the Russian invasion. Laura began her career in broadcast journalism, working in newsrooms in Ottawa and Edmonton.
In her new role, she’ll work closely with the entire Ottawa bureau and our teams elsewhere to ensure our Canadian economic and government coverage is as sharp and relevant as it can be to Bloomberg’s growing audience. Canada is in the middle of a major economic story right now, and we’re looking forward to having Laura on board to help us tell it to the world.
