Law360 reporter Steingart joins law firm

Jon Steingart

Law360 journalist Jon Steingart has joined law firm Outten & Golden as senior content strategist.

He was a senior reporter on the employment desk, where he played a key role in launching the newsroom’s Employment Authority section, providing coverage of nationwide labor law trends and litigation.

He also previously spent four years covering labor and employment law as a reporter at Bloomberg Law.

In addition, Steingart is an attorney admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia. He previously practiced law at the Federal Labor Relations Authority and the U.S. Department of Labor, where he researched and wrote draft legal decisions adjudicating workers’ compensation claims and labor-management disputes.

He earned his J.D. from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
