Vox’s Code Conference put on hold

The Code Conference, started by tech journalists Kara Swisher and Walt Mossberg, has been put on hold, reports Oliver Darcy.

Darcy writes, “Vox Media’s Code Conference, an annual gathering that features the biggest names in Silicon Valley sit for news-making interviews, will not take place this year, people familiar with the matter told me. Outside missing a year for the pandemic, it’s the first time the annual confab has not taken place in its more than two-decade history.

“A spokesperson for Vox Media confirmed that the conference has been put on hold. The spokesperson referred to Code as a ‘strong franchise,’ but declined to share further information about its future.

“When — or whether — Code ultimately returns remains to be seen.”
