Koeze has a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studied English and geography and wrote an honors thesis on visualizing the narratives in Jane Austen’s “Persuasion.” She also has a master’s from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in geographic information systems and web mapping.
