Georgina Morris, deputy editor at the Yorkshire Evening Post, has announced her departure after more than a decade. Previously, she served as a crime reporter and assistant head of news.
Morris said:
“I owe so much to the team who were at the Dewsbury Reporter when I started out as a trainee and to all those who have helped me along the way since. Not everyone is lucky enough to do a job that they love, so I count myself as very fortunate to have had that opportunity.
“I’ll be taking a break over the summer to have a think about what I’d like to do next, so this is me signing off for now with a big thank you to all my fellow journos and the fantastic National Union of Journalists for everything.”
