Previously, Yang worked at CQ and Roll Call for more than four years. There, she joined as a floor action reporter covering breaking news related to floor and procedural action in the U.S. House and Senate.
Later, she took on the role of editor.
From June 2016 to August 2016, she interned at CQ and Roll Call. She also reported for the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Yang has a B.A. in history and political science from the University of Pennsylvania.
