
Yahoo News has hires Rosa Heyman will join as editor-in-chief of Yahoo News.
She will report to Brooke Siegel, vice president of content.
Heyman will lead the editorial strategy of Yahoo News, including Yahoo Entertainment and Yahoo Life.. Her leadership will focus on accelerating audience engagement through compelling original content while reinforcing Yahoo as a destination for quality journalism.
Heyman will oversee content creation and distribution across platforms to amplify the work of Yahoo News and its publishing partners to deliver even more value for both readers and publishers.
Prior to joining Yahoo, Heyman served as the executive director of brand strategy for Hearst’s fashion and luxury portfolio, where she worked across Esquire, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Town & Country, Veranda, Elle Decor, and more to create impactful editorial packages to drive audience growth and spearhead new business opportunities in collaboration with editorial, advertising, e-commerce, video, and product teams.
Previously, she spent six years as the executive digital editor of Cosmopolitan, where she led strategy and operations for a 40+ person team. She launched the brand’s first membership program, built the Commerce team, and partnered with advertising on innovative programs, like Watch Party with Google. Her leadership drove award-winning projects like Sex After 60 and It’s Not Over.
Earlier in her career, Heyman led social and video strategy at Marie Claire and launched People Magazine’s Snapchat Discover channel.
