Tommy Cassell will join the Worcester Telegram & Gazette as a sports reporter of the Worcester Red Sox. He will also cover high school and college sports in the Worcester area.
Recently, Cassell was a senior multimedia journalist at Massachusetts-based daily newspaper The MetroWest Daily News. His tweet reads:
“Thanks to everyone for their help in telling stories that make a difference in our communities and for supporting local journalism. I value all the relationships I’ve made along the way and look forward to making new ones in Worcester.”
Previously, he was a contributing editor at SoxProspects, LLC, where he wrote two to three stories a week about the Boston Red Sox minor league system.
Cassell graduated from the University of Connecticut.
