Wisconsin State Journal reporter Hamer departs

Emily Hamer

Emily Hamer will join a new public service journal team being started by Lee Enterprises. In her new role, she will serve as an investigative reporter covering the West. Previously, she covered local government and the criminal justice system for the Wisconsin State Journal.

Hamer worked as a reporter at the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism. She also interned at WisPolitics.com. She also held editorial roles at The Badger Herald, the independent student paper serving the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Madison, Wis. community.

Hamer graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and philosophy.
