Winnipeg Free Press lays off photojournalist Lee

Jessica Lee, a photojournalist at The Winnipeg Free Press, wrote on Twitter:

“I was laid off from @WinnipegNews earlier this week. It has been a privilege to photograph the people of Winnipeg and beyond for the past two years. I am grateful for all of the trust the people of Manitoba have placed in me to tell their stories visually.”

Lee freelanced for Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, Toronto Life, The Canadian Press, Outdoor Photography Canada Magazine, Rock and Ice Magazine.

Lee graduated from the University of Toronto at Scarborough.
