Brandon Weigel, breaking news editor at the Baltimore Banner, has taken on the role of assistant editor at Baltimore Banner Sports.
Prior to joining the Banner, Weigel was a senior web producer at WJZ-TV Ch. 13, Baltimore’s CBS outlet. He also served as managing editor of the Baltimore Fishbowl, which provides scoops on various topics, including local schools, money, culture and lifestyle.
He freelanced and also held editorial roles at The City Paper and The Washington Post.
He interned at USA Today and the Baltimore Business Journal.
Weigel has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland College Park.
