Dan Rosenfield has joined the Longview Daily News, a Washington state paper owned by Lee Enterprises, as a sports reporter. He wrote on X/Twitter:
“I made a separate Twitter account for the role, @DRosenfieldTDN. Go follow me on there for updates on high school sports around Southern Washington and Northwest Oregon!”
Rosenfield previously worked for the National Basketball Association’s digital operations department and as a technical assistant at NewsNation.
He further added:
“While at these jobs, I continued my search for full-time employment; however I was mainly searching for public relations opportunities around New Jersey and New York City.
“It was shortly into the summer when I realized that sports writing is my passion, and I needed to pursue it regardless of the sacrifices that had to be made. When I was applying to jobs, titles like communications specialist, account executive and content strategist were not moving the needle for me.
“Sports reporter positions were the only jobs that excited me. I followed that feeling of excitement, and it brought me here to Longview.”
