Hillary Howard, afternoon news anchor at WTOP-FM 103.5, is set to leave. Her tweet reads:

“After 18 years at WTOP, I’m remodeling my life. It’s a work-in-progress born of hunger for new experiences and learning. I can’t wait to see where it leads. But it’s also born of timing. WTOP is making a change that allows me the rare opportunity to pursue unexplored avenues.”

Howard was a reporter at WJLA-TV Ch. 7, an ABC affiliate in Washington, D.C.; CBS station WUSA-TV Ch. 9, (also in D.C.), and WAVY-TV Ch. 10, an NBC station in Portsmouth, Va.

Howard has a B.A. in journalism and politics from New York University.
