Sean Sullivan has been appointed deputy politics editor for campaigns to oversee coverage of the 2022 midterm elections and beyond.
Sullivan has served in this role in an acting capacity since April. He was previously a White House reporter and is a veteran of campaign reporting, having covered the past three presidential campaigns. He formerly served as a national political reporter.
He joined the Post in 2012 as a reporter on The Fix, reporting on and analyzing campaigns.
He is also a political contributor for CBS News.
Sullivan graduated from Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y.
