Paola Ruano has joined The Washington Post’s By The Way as its new multiplatform editor.
Ruano came to the multiplatform editing desk as an intern in 2017 and has worked on various sections, notably “National Weekly,” which is managed by a small team and distributed to news organizations across the country.
Ruano has also worked as an office assistant at Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. She was also multiplatform/copy editing intern at Los Angeles Times where she was placed from the Dow Jones News Fund program.
She also held the posts of associate copy editor and head copy editor at The Daily Pennsylvanian.
Additionally, she has also held the posts of media intern and non-profit representative at The Veloz Group and RuffaloCODY, respectively.
Ruano earned her Bachelor’s degree in communication and English from the University of Pennsylvania.
