Washington Post taps Flaherty as SEO and operations editor

The Washington Post has promoted Bryan Flaherty as SEO and operations editor, leading the newsroom’s search engine optimization efforts and managing a team of operation editors.

Flaherty has been with The Post for over 10 years, previously holding various roles, including agate editor for sports, writer/editor for sports, multiplatform editor for sports, digital editor for sports, operations editor for audience, and senior operations editor for audience.

He has also held marketing and administrative roles in his career.

Flaherty has a B.A. in political science from the University of Florida and a M.A. in social sciences from the University of Chicago.
