The Washington Post has promoted Anjuman Ali to deputy wellness editor. In this role, she will expand the Post’s coverage of personal health and well-being. She begins July 11.
For the past eight months, Ali helped create the Health & Science print report. She joined the Post in 2010 as a mobile editor and was later tapped as a topics editor. Before that, she was an editor at the Wall Street Journal Europe.
She formerly worked as an interactive editor, foreign editor and editorial writer for the Wisconsin State Journal. She was also part of an editorial writing team named a finalist for the 2008 Pulitzer Prize.
Ali has a PhD. from Kent State University, and was recently selected for the 2022 Health Coverage Fellowship, which focuses on issues such as public health, mental health and covering the uninsured.
