Matt Zapotosky has been appointed criminal justice editor on The Washington Post’s Metro desk. He covered the Justice Department previously. He had reported on federal law enforcement in the Eastern District of Virginia, and local law enforcement in Alexandria and Arlington.
Zapotosky also covered the police department and court system in Prince George’s County, Maryland. He joined the Post in 2007 as a summer intern. He was also an intern at The Columbus Dispatch.
Zapotosky is a graduate of Ohio University.
