The Washington Post has tapped Christine Loman as a features editor for The Post’s columnist Carolyn Hax’s column.
In her new role, Loman will develop and execute a strategy to increase the audience for Carolyn’s engaging work, edit Carolyn’s columns, produce her online chats and partner with colleagues across the company to expand readership.
Loman starts on Mar. 8.
Loman joined The Post in 2018 from Syracuse Media Group, where she was first a web/mobile producer and then a social media lead, along with being a member of its editorial board. She has also worked as a web curator, breaking news desk, at the York Daily Record/Sunday News.
She was also digital/social media editor at The Hanover Evening Sun and a morning web editor at the York Daily Record. She has also served as a reporter at The Evening Tribune and was also with Rochester Business Journal, first as an editorial intern and then as a freelance reporter.
She has also interned at WROC-TV.
Loman is a B.A. in journalism from Ithaca College.
