Small businesses account for nearly half of the nation’s gross domestic product, and with the pandemic and a lack of access to capital investment, the survival of these businesses was threatened.
In this context, Washington Post Live will be hosting “Path Forward: Small Business” with presenting sponsor Principal, on Oct. 28. The stream will look at the roles of both the federal and state governments regarding regulation, relief interventions and access to capital.
Obstacles will be discussed and how they have changed the small-business model as companies learn to fight the effects of the pandemic. The Post will also be looking into how new technologies can help brick-and-mortar businesses spur new growth.
