The following excerpt was sent out:

The Washington Post today expands its service journalism with the launch of Well+Being, a new personal health section. Rooted in actionable, science-based journalism, Well+Being aims to lead a daily conversation on essential health topics that readers are thinking about every day, including food, fitness, emotional wellbeing, disability and internet health culture.

“The pandemic caused a lot of people to recalibrate their lives, goals and values and, for many, they have started to prioritize their overall wellbeing,” said Tara Parker-Pope, editor of Well+Being. “Now, more than ever, people are seeking expert advice and science-based answers for the questions they have about how to live well every day. Well+Being will take a holistic approach to health and celebrate all levels of ambition and ability, no matter where you are in your health journey.”

Well+Being will feature five pillars of coverage: food, fitness, mind, body and life.

The Well+Being desk is a team of 15 editors, visual journalists and reporters.

Well+Being can be found here.
