Tik Root will be joining The Washington Post climate and environment team as a reporter for Climate Solutions.
He begins Apr. 19.
Root joins The Post from Newsy, an award-winning live news channel, where he worked in the documentary unit.
Root is also a veteran freelancer, with his work appearing in The Washington Post, National Geographic, The New York Times, The Atlantic, The New Yorker, Harper’s and the BBC, among other publications.
Root graduated from Middlebury College with a BA in international politics and economics and earned a master’s degree in environment, science and health journalism from Columbia University.
