Washington Post appoints Johnson as projects editor

Steven Johnson

Steven Johnson will be joining The Washington Post’s features desk as a projects editor. He begins Jan. 24.

In his new role, Johnson will work with editors across features, and with partners across the newsroom. He will also be working closely with the lifestyle team. Previously, he was a newsletter editor, and before that, he served as an audience embed editor.

He has also interned at and was a staff reporter at The Chronicle of Higher Education. He was also an editorial fellow at The Atlantic.

Johnson earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Indiana University Bloomington.
