We are thrilled to announce that Ryan Bacic is joining Metro as assistant Social Issues editor.
Since the fall, Ryan has been on a Post Opportunity Year as an assignment editor in Metro, having an impact working with our Education and Local Government teams.
Ryan began his Post career on the Sports copy desk in the fall of 2014, writing notable centerpiece headlines for the Cubs’ World Series win and the 2016 Summer Olympics, and returned to Sports after a post-graduate internship at the New York Times. He moved to Emerging News Products in 2017, editing for the Snapchat Discover team, The Post’s Select app, By The Way and The Lily before starting his Opportunity Year in Metro in October.
Ryan graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in history.
