Ta’Leah Van Sistine has joined the Everett Herald, a daily newspaper in Washington state, as an environmental reporter. Recently, she was a stringer at WMNF-FM 88.5, a community radio station in Tampa, Fla.
Previously, Sistine interned at the Madison, Wis.-based nonprofit news source Isthmus, where she contributed weekly to the alt magazine’s news, events and food beats, and at Wisconsin Public Radio.
She was a fellow at The Washington Post, where she worked with the climate and environment team.
Sistine has a B.A. in journalism and creative writing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
