Elizabeth Washington has left her post as a digital producer at NBC station WDIV-TV Ch. 4 in Detroit. She wrote on Twitter:
“I have decided that after being in media for 5 years I will be taking a break from the industry and putting my mental health first. I love media, and in my time from radio, to lifestyle, to news — I have been blessed with so many great opportunities in such a short period of time.
“I hope saying goodbye to being in the media field isn’t forever, but for now, it’s got to be a see ya later as new adventures await.”
Previously, Washington was a digital producer at Detroits ABC station, WXYZ-TV Ch. 7, and worked as a lifestyle producer at WSLS-TV Ch. 10, an NBC affiliate in Roanoke, Va.
Washington has a B.A. in broadcast journalism from Wayne State University in Detroit.
