We are excited to announce that Reshma Kirpalani is joining Video as a reporter based in Florida. Reshma started working for The Post as a contractor in December after impressing us with her coverage of Hurricane Ian.
Reshma is a 14-time Emmy Award winner. Before joining The Post, she worked for three years on the national video team at McClatchy, where she collaborated with newsrooms across the country to produce a range of content, from deeply reported investigative stories to breaking news.
Among her standout pieces was a five-part documentary that told the story of health care workers and their families at the height of the pandemic. The series won two Suncoast Emmy Awards and was screened at two film festivals.
Before McClatchy, Reshma worked for the Austin American-Statesman, where she won the paper’s first Lone Star Emmy Award for her portfolio of work as a photographer.
Reshma has a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Miami and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas.
