WaPo appoints Jaggard health and science deputy editor

Victoria Jaggard

Victoria Jaggard has joined The Washington Post’s Health and Science team as a deputy editor. Recently, Jaggard was an executive editor, science at National Geographic.

Jaggard also held posts at Nat Geo that included online science editor, senior science editor and senior director – science and innovation. From August 2005 to June 2012, she was a senior editor, space at Nat Geo News.

She served as an associate web editor – science at Smithsonian Enterprises and was a physical science news editor at New Scientist. She was an assistant editor at Chemical & Engineering News.

Jaggard has a B.A. in science writing and journalism from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.
