Cook Political Report in Washington, D.C. has hired Erin Covey as an analyst. She will begin on Jan. 8, 2024.
Cook Political Report reports:
“Working closely with Senior Editor and redistricting specialist David Wasserman, Erin will lead CPR’s coverage of the US House of Representatives.”
Covey said:
“I’m honored to join The Cook Political Report’s stellar team. As the 2024 cycle accelerates, I’m excited to continue focusing on the contests that will determine the direction of Congress.”
Covey will join from Inside Elections, where she worked as a reporter and analyst.
She also held the posts of Atlantic fellow, digital editor, national political correspondent and house campaign correspondent at the National Journal. She interned at C-SPAN and NPR, where she later worked as a news assistant.
Covey has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Liberty University in Virginia.
