Lindsay Schrupp has joined Vox as editor in chief of Thrillist. Previously, she served as executive editor at MEL Magazine.

In her new role, Schrupp will oversee the editorial organization and partner with Amana Kludt, group publisher of Eater, Popsugar, Punch, and Thrillist. They will work “on shifting Thrillist from a generalist lifestyle brand to a publication focused on travel as well as local experiences in 20+ cities across the US,” reports Vox.

She will also lead a team of about 30 employees, including writers, editors, designers, and social media professionals.

“She will be responsible for the publication’s reporting, storytelling, and service journalism across all formats, audience growth and engagement, and brand expansion,” Vox added.

Schrupp served as editor in chief and then as head of content strategy at the Courier Newsroom.

She worked at Vice for more than four years, holding various roles, including senior social editor for Collectively & Broadly, global managing editor and editor in chief for Broadly, and editorial director.

Schrupp graduated from the University of Washington.
