Virginia TV station journalist McKenny set to depart

Simone McKenny

Simone McKenny, a multimedia journalist at WHSV-TV Ch. 3, an ABC affiliate in Harrisonburg, Va. is set to leave. Her last day is June 1.

McKenny tweets:

“A HUGE thank you to @WHSVnews and the Shenandoah Valley for trusting me with your stories and to bring you the news every morning. This is a really special place. No goodbyes but rather see you later!”

Previously, she interned at CBS News, NBC Washington, CBS Corp., SiriusXM and PBS.

McKenny has a B.A. from The George Washington University.
