Katie Way, a senior staff writer at Vice, has left to join Hell Gate as a writer and editor. Hell Gate is “a reader-funded news outlet owned and run by journalists covering New York City,” as per its Twitter.
Way joined Vice in 2019 as a staff writer. Previously, she was a copy editor and contributing editor at Cannabis Now.
She interned at Inverse.com, Rolling Stone Magazine and In These Times.
Way graduated from Northwestern University.
