Vice News reporter Galer goes freelance

Sophia Smith Galer

Sophia Smith Galer, a senior news reporter at Vice News, has left to go freelance. During her time at Vice, she covered gender violence, technology and the climate crisis.

Previously, Galer held the posts of social media producer, visual journalist and presenter at the BBC. She also interned at NBC News.

Galer has degrees from Durham University and City University London.
