Dave Clarke, a veteran political editor who has been leading the 202 Newsletters team, has left the Washington Post after more than eight years.
Clarke’s post on X/Twitter reads:
“I loved working at The Post and with all my wonderful colleagues. It was a true honor. Looking forward to what’s next.”
Since joining Post in May 2015, Clarke has served as deputy editor for PowerPost, White House editor and Congress editor.
Previously he was a financial editor at Politico and also reported for Reuters and CQ, where he worked for more than eight years.
Clarke has a bachelor’s degree in history from Trinity College-Hartford and a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
