Veteran McClatchy journalist set to depart

Sarah Nagem

Sarah Nagem, national real-time editor who has been with McClatchy for 12 years, will be leaving the company for southeastern NC where she will be doing solution-based journalism focused on generational poverty.

Nagem has also served as a reporter and as an assistant metro editor at The News and Observer. She was also an editor at The Cary News.

Nagem holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from West Virginia University.
