Barbara Serra, presenter/correspondent at Al Jazeera English, will be leaving after 16 years.
She will be focusing on writing, starting with her new Substack newsletter/blog.
Serra joined Al Jazeera English as one of the faces of its launch in 2006.
She has previously worked as a news presenter at Five in London and has reported for Sky News. She was also a producer/reporter at the BBC and has interned at and was a junior writer at CNN.
Serra graduated from The London School of Economics and Political Science. She also has a postgraduate diploma in broadcast journalism from City University of London.
