The Valley News has long taken pride in being a daily presence in the lives of Upper Valley residents. Since 1993, the newspaper has been delivered seven days per week to communities from Haverhill to Charlestown, Woodstock to New London, and beyond.

Over the decades, the Valley News has documented tremendous change across the region, as the economy and day-to-day life in the Upper Valley evolved with the times. Now it is time for us to share some news about a change of our own.

Starting in January, the Valley News will go to a six-day per week publishing schedule. The last edition of the Sunday Valley News will be published on Dec. 31.

In its place will be the Weekend Valley News, which will be published on Saturday. This new edition will be packed with many of the same features as the current weekend newspapers combined into a single edition. Our commitment to being the top source for Upper Valley news, sports and information throughout the week remains unchanged.

As part of this transition, the subscription price will not change; subscribers will continue to have access to news, including breaking news, seven days per week on our website, www.vnews.com.
